Test Scenario 1: Schedule a Meeting via Email

How to test scheduling external meetings

Before you begin, set your assistant to Supervised Mode so you can observe the conversation: https://app.skej.com/supervision

Steps

  1. Send an email to someone outside your organization (a personal email, friend, or colleague works well).

  2. CC your assistant on the email.

  3. Include meeting details such as:

    • Date range

    • Meeting duration

    • Location or meeting type (Zoom, phone, in-person, etc.)

    • Any additional context

You can write naturally in the email. For example:

"Hi Andy,

Let's set up some time to chat. My assistant, Skej, is going to help coordinate.

Skej — can you find us 30 minutes for a sales demo sometime next week?"

What to Expect

  • Your assistant will reply to confirm it is working on the request.

  • The assistant will contact attendees and propose meeting times based on your availability, preferences, and any context provided.

  • From the external email address, try different responses:

    • Accept a proposed time

    • Reject the proposed times

    • Suggest alternative times

    • Ask scheduling-related questions

The assistant should continue managing the conversation until a meeting is successfully scheduled. Once confirmed, it will send a calendar invite to all participants.

Additional Testing

  • Try scheduling with multiple attendees.

  • Test different meeting durations, time zones, or locations.

  • Include scheduling constraints or preferences.

  • Observe how the assistant handles changes and rescheduling requests.

  • Do not respond as the attendee and see whether the assistant follows up automatically.

Track the Task

You can monitor progress in your dashboard under In Progress Tasks. There you can:

  • See who has responded

  • Review what the assistant is planning

  • Follow the conversation history

  • Provide additional instructions or updates at any time
