⚡️ Scheduling Meetings 101
Skej works just like a human scheduling assistant. Simply add Skej to any email thread with your scheduling request.
➕ Cc'ing Skej
Skej's default email address is [email protected].
This email may be different if you choose a different assistant like [email protected] or a custom email you set up.
To activate Skej, all you need to do is add it to the thread. From there, Skej will read all messages it receives, and reply back with an appropriate response to the request it was given.
How Scheduling With Skej Works
A typical scheduling conversation with Skej works like this.
You loop Skej in when you want to book a meeting. Write to Skej in the body of the email, and make sure to include everyone who will be in the meeting on the thread. It can be a new email thread, or you can cc Skej into an existing thread.
↳ Skej - Can you help us book a meeting for next week?
Skej will reply with suggested meeting times, using your calendar availability and any specific details you gave it.
↳ Here are some times for the following week (times in EST):
30 min meeting (times in EST)
Mon, Sept 8: 5pm, 7pm
Tue, Sept 9: 6pm, 7pm
Your contacts can either select one of the proposed times, ask for new times, or propose alternative times. Skej will message back and forth until a mutual time is confirmed. Then, Skej will send out the calendar invites to all participants.
If anyone needs to reschedule, cancel, or modify the meeting, they can just ask Skej and Skej will help coordinate the changes!
🗣️ How to Talk to Skej
You can talk to Skej using natural language. Skej utilizes LLM capabilities to understand natural language (including over 100 languages—not just English), so you don't need any special commands or syntax. Still, to be clear and detailed in your instructions.
Always address Skej in the email, both so Skej knows you're talking to it, and also to alert other people on the thread that your assistant will respond with next steps.
Skej makes scheduling decisions using your default availability and scheduling preferences, as configured in your Settings, unless you tell it otherwise.
The more details you give Skej, the more context it will have, and the better the results will be. Make sure to include these details if you have them:
Target meeting date ranges - like "next week" or "tomorrow morning"
Duration of meeting - If none is given, then Skej will use your defaults.
Event title - Skej can also create a title based on the meeting context.
Virtual or in-person - If you mention a location, Skej can add it to the meeting.
⚠️ Time Zones
If the other meeting attendees are in a different time zone than you are, let Skej know. Otherwise, Skej will offer times that work for you, but may be inconvenient for other time zones.
💬 Scheduling from a DM
You can initiate a new meeting (or any other task) by writing a 1:1 email to Skej.
If you ask Skej to book a time with someone via a 1:1 message, Skej will email that person on your behalf to coordinate.
🗓️ Rescheduling or Cancelling?
If you need to cancel or reschedule a meeting, just ask Skej and it will coordinate with attendees to find a new time, or confirm the cancellation. You can do this in the thread with the attendees or via DM and Skej will reach out.
