Skej is available on Slack for team-wide scheduling. Once installed, users can interact with the assistant via direct message or add it to channels for coordination.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure:
You have an existing Slack workspace.
You’re logged into your Slack workspace via the desktop app or web browser.
Step-by-Step Installation
Go to Connections
Click the Slack icon and then “Connect to Slack”. You will be redirected to Slack’s OAuth permission screen.
3. Review and Approve Permissions. Slack will display the required permissions to install the Skej app. After reviewing, click Allow to proceed.
The app will install automatically and Skej will be available in your Slack workspace.
Refresh Slack and Skej will appear under Apps in your sidebar.
Using Skej in Slack
Once the app is installed, users can:
DM @Skej to start scheduling.
Add @Skej to channels for team coordination.
Mention @Skej in group DMs when you need to put in a scheduling request.
Skej responds only when explicitly invoked (e.g., @mention) and assists with scheduling requests in real time. Skej will respond to your requests and help with your coordination request.
Notes
The app only operates in workspaces where it is installed
It does not read messages unless directly invoked
Access is limited to the permissions granted during installation
