Common issues and what to do

Updated over 2 months ago

Here are a few common issues you might find with Skej, and how to resolve them!

  1. I asked Skej to change a setting, but it didn't remember even though it said it did it.

Skej cannot update account settings using natural language. Any changes that you want regarding your availability, buffers, calendars, or any of the other settings found in the Skej dashboard need to be changed directly in the dashboard. Skej may tell you it made the change, but that is a common hallucination that can be misleading.

If you request to make changes that apply to a specific meeting, like changing your time zone, saving a meeting link, etc. Skej will make those changes, but the changes will only apply to that specific meeting.

  2. Why is Skej asking me to book the meeting, or asking me for my availability?

If you are booking a meeting, and Skej comes back to you in the thread and asks you for your availability or asks you to create the calendar invite, it's possible that your calendar got disconnected. Go to the dashboard and make sure your calendar is connected. You can also try disconnecting it and connecting it again.

To test if it's connected, try blocking off time on your own calendar to see if Skej will do it. Write to Skej 1-1 and say something like "Block 30 minutes on my calendar tomorrow at 3pm." If Skej does it and the event shows up on your calendar, then the calendar is connected!
